Olivia Rojas has been singing for over 15 years. She began her professional career singing choral and Mexican rancheras, but was drawn to the passion of flamenco cante six years ago. She has toured with Calo Flamenco and CBJ Flamenco Ensemble.
She has had the privilege of working with Alma Performing Arts, Flamenco Por La Vida, Mosaico, The Pangeon Orchestra and Tucson-based Flamenco del Pueblo Viejo.
She has studied flamenco cante under the direction of Chris Burton Jácome, Chayito Champion, Esperanza Fernández, Ines Bacán, Gaetano, Jorge “El Canastero” and Marija Temo. Olivia has studied flamenco dance with Molly Duran and Yumi La Rosa.
